Volunteers - We need your help
Individuals:
Of course, the first thing you can do is get yourself tested for syphilis. Make it part of your routine and keep yourself and your partners healthy! Each test brings us closer to our goal of beating the disease in Chicago. Once you have incorporated regular syphilis testing into your personal routine, you can help us in a number of ways.
Outreach Volunteers:
Visit a bar or a bathhouse and distribute small flyers to patrons and answer basic questions about testing. Help stuff safer sex kits for distribution at events and bars.
Online Volunteer:
Help us while you chat. Visit online chat rooms and post information about testing for Chicago men to see.
Women:
While this effort targets men who have sex with men, we greatly welcome your support as a volunteer.
Businesses and Nonprofit Organizations:
Your support is key to the campaign to raise visibility. By all pulling together, we can defeat syphilis and keep our communities healthy. The good news is that you can support our effort without spending any more money.
Here are some ways you can help:

Posters: Place posters at your location.

Flyers/palm cards: Distribute them in locations around the city.

Outreach Events: Bars and some retail stores are prime candidates for outreach work, with volunteers standing at the door and handing out flyers and palm cards to patrons.

Advertising Trailers: Some businesses advertise in the GLBT press, and we are asking that those businesses include simple text in support of this campaign. "Proud supporter of the fight against syphilis - visit www.GetTestedChicago.com" can be placed anywhere on your ads as a measure of your support and to increase visibility.

Website Promotion: If you have a website, we have a few web ads, banners that we can send you to post on your site, with a link back to this website.
